("Medic Livraison", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals who interact with our services, including pharmacy partners, patients, and delivery drivers who use our mobile application (the "Driver App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Quebec Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information depending on your role and interaction with our services:

Driver App Users (Delivery Drivers)

Identity and contact information: full name, email address, phone number, home address
Employment information: hire date, driver status (active, suspended)
Driver's license: license number, expiry date, issuing province
Vehicle information: make, model, year, color, plate number, vehicle type
Insurance information: provider name, policy number, expiry date
Real-time geolocation data: GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude), accuracy, speed, and timestamps collected during active delivery batches
Delivery operational data: task assignments, pickup/delivery statuses, completion timestamps, delivery routes and sequences
Proof of delivery: photographs and electronic signatures captured at delivery
Payment processing data: cash amounts collected, card payment transactions processed via Stripe on behalf of pharmacies
Incident reports: descriptions, photos, and categorizations of delivery issues
Device information: device type, operating system, app version

Pharmacy Platform Users

Business contact information: pharmacy name, address, phone number, email
Account credentials: login information for the Medic Livraison dashboard
Order data: patient delivery addresses, order details, payment information
Stripe Connect account information for receiving patient payments

Patients (End Recipients)

Name and delivery address as provided by the pharmacy
Phone number (when provided for delivery coordination or payment links)
Delivery proof: photo or signature confirming receipt
Payment information: processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Providing our delivery services: assigning and optimizing delivery routes, managing pickup and delivery tasks, and ensuring timely medication delivery
Real-time tracking: enabling pharmacies to track deliveries in real-time and providing drivers with optimized itineraries
Payment processing: facilitating cash collection, card payments (via Stripe Terminal and payment links), and remitting payments to pharmacies
Proof of delivery: capturing and storing photographic and signature proof for compliance and traceability requirements
Compliance and traceability: meeting the standards of the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ) for medication delivery traceability
Incident management: documenting, tracking, and resolving delivery issues
Service improvement: analyzing delivery data to optimize routes, improve service reliability, and enhance the platform
Communication: contacting you about your account, deliveries, or service updates
Legal obligations: complying with applicable laws and regulations

3. Location Data

The Driver App collects precise geolocation data. This is essential to our service and is used to:

Provide real-time delivery tracking to pharmacies
Optimize delivery routes and driver assignments
Record arrival times at pickup and delivery locations
Calculate delivery distances and durations

Location data is collected only when the driver is actively working (during a delivery batch). Drivers can go offline at any time through the app, which stops location tracking. We do not track drivers outside of active delivery sessions.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your personal information with:

Pharmacy partners: delivery status, proof of delivery, and payment information related to their orders
Payment processors: Stripe processes card payments securely. Payments are routed directly to pharmacy Stripe Connect accounts
Cloud service providers: we use secure cloud infrastructure to host our platform and store data
Legal authorities: when required by law, regulation, or legal process

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information for advertising purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
Role-based access control limiting data access to authorized personnel
Signed upload URLs with expiration for photos and documents
Secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, and to meet regulatory requirements for medication delivery traceability. Delivery records and proof of delivery are retained in accordance with pharmacy regulatory requirements in Quebec. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Under Quebec privacy legislation, you have the right to:

Access your personal information held by us
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
Withdraw consent to certain data processing activities

8. Third-Party Services

Our services are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Driver App is intended for use by adult delivery drivers only.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
